About The Position

ABOUT THE POSITION: We are seeking a motivated Burn Table Operaror. The Burn Table Operator will set up and operate CNC oxy/plasma machine, use overhead crane to load/unload steel plates, verify finished product meets specifications, and maintain a clean and safe work area.

Requirements

• Experienced operating CNC plasma and oxy machines
• Ability to interpret CAD drawings, symbols and notes.
• Read tape measure to within 1/16”
• Experienced with overhead crane
• Ability to stand for a prolonged period of time.
• Use hands/fingers to handle, or feel and talk or hear
• Employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms.
• Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Ability to select correct machine settings for optimal cutting operations.
• Ability to measure materials to assure conformance with design specifications.
• Ability to select correct material type, stock size and dimensions.
• Ability to transfer appropriate data onto materials.
• Ability to keep a clean, organized, and sage work area.
• Ability to keep and accurate record of daily operations and material usage.
