Requirements

  • Consistent attendance and punctuality are critical.
  • Ability to report to work on time, maintain regular attendance, and work scheduled hours.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous lift truck experience.
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in English language for verbal and written directions, signs, policies, and procedures.
  • Willing and able to stand on a frequent basis.
  • Willing and able to work overtime.
  • Willing and able to work various shifts.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ingredients to tote and bag dumping stations, ensuring a constant and proper supply to converter lines.
  • Provide and set up totes of finished product to packaging lines as needed.
  • Secure totes, skids, and super sacks of ingredients from the warehouse and position them at dumping and super sack stations.
  • Return empty skids and totes to proper storage or the tote wash area.
  • Neatly stack super sacks for recycling.
  • Remove trash from the area and deposit it in the trash compactor, trash truck, or recycle bin.
  • Transfer powder from super sacks to totes as needed.
  • Sample, inventory, sort, and align bulk ingredient inventory.
  • Perform safety and mechanical inspections of the lift truck before each shift.
  • Maintain records of ingredients used, ensuring correctness and proper cleaning.
  • Take routine or special product samples as needed.
  • Regulate and maintain an adequate rate of ingredient flow to the converters.
  • Dump all bagged, boxed, or barrelled ingredients according to batch card instructions, including reprocess to converter lines.
  • Coordinate with the converter operator to ensure a proper supply of ingredients and minimize changeover time.
  • Assist with building cleaning in the work area and weekend clean-up.
  • Be proficient and knowledgeable in MES/SAP to maintain accurate inventory and usage of ingredients by item and location.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
