About the position
The Sales Representative at Pepsi Bottling Ventures is responsible for executing all Customer Development Activities (CDA) elements, building and maintaining professional relationships with customers, and ensuring merchandising standards are met. This entry-level position involves direct selling, product rotation, and maintaining cleanliness in the store environment, while also providing training for new hires as needed.
Responsibilities
- Rotates and merchandises product on gondolas, racks, coolers, and displays.
- Performs one-on-one selling with store owner/manager, including retail negotiating.
- Cleans and maintains shelves, gondola, coolers, and back room space.
- Performs proper product ordering to ensure zero out-of-stocks.
- Creates and utilizes point of sale signage.
- Executes all CDA elements.
- Communicates issues with Pre-Sell Manager and Key Account Manager.
- Follows company rules and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver's License.
- One (1) year of experience in route sales preferred.
- Positive attitude and must be detail-oriented.
- Ability to perform basic financial calculations, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Self-starter with excellent follow-up skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Meet PBV driving qualifications.
- Ability to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
