About the position
The Building Per Diem Substitute Teacher position at Lehman Intermediate is a temporary, non-bargaining unit role available immediately through the end of the 2024-2025 school year. This position involves working only on required student days, providing educational support in various classroom settings as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction and support to students in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Work in different locations as required by the school district.
Requirements
- Possess a valid Pennsylvania Instructional I or II Certificate.
- Apply for a Type 06 Emergency Substitute Teaching Permit if not already certified.
- Demonstrate outstanding credentials and a strong academic background.
- Exhibit highly developed classroom management skills.
- Show understanding and empathy for students at the appropriate grade levels.
