The National Research Council (NRC) is seeking a Building Automation Systems Technician to support its Real Property Planning and Management Branch. This role is crucial for ensuring that NRC's building automation systems (BAS) are appropriate, operational, maintained, and updated to meet the monitoring requirements of complex scientific buildings. The technician will be involved in network design, troubleshooting, repair, improvements, and managing external service providers. As the BAS subject matter expert, the incumbent will provide training, technical support, and operational guidance to other trades personnel working with direct digital controls (DDC). The role ensures control systems deliver effective energy management, operate safely, and that network data is securely protected and backed up. System analysis using automation software and programming changes to enhance operation and energy efficiency are also key aspects of this position.
