About the position

The Building Automation Engineering Internship at Moore's Electrical & Mechanical Construction, Inc. is designed to provide undergraduate students with hands-on experience in the field of building automation systems (BAS). Interns will support the BAS team in various operational tasks while gaining valuable insights into the mechanical and electrical engineering sectors. This role emphasizes learning and development, allowing interns to contribute to real projects while enhancing their skills in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the team with all processes of BAS system setup including design and programming
  • Support field operations with any technical issues that arise
  • Visit job sites when required to test/troubleshoot any issues
  • Team building with BAS team and other interns
  • Prepare presentation for Leadership at the completion of the internship

Requirements

  • Undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-first mindset
  • Desire to learn and grow
  • Transportation and ability to commute to the Altavista Offices and our job sites
  • Great sense of humor
