About the position

The Floor Supervisor at Westlake Ace Hardware is responsible for assisting in the management of overall store operations, particularly in the absence of the General Manager and Assistant Managers. This role involves directing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a positive work environment while achieving company goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing overall store operations.
• Assume primary responsibility for store operations in the absence of the General Manager and/or Assistant Managers.
• Direct staff to achieve company goals and objectives.
• Project a positive representation of Westlake Ace Hardware.
• Proactively assist customers in solving problems and handle customer complaints.
• Ensure a positive, professional, and safe work environment for all associates.
• Supervise the general operations of the entire store, including opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with the implementation of Store Support Center programs.
• Help ensure successful Loss Prevention, Safety, and Internal Audits.
• Communicate operational or managerial issues to the General Manager in a timely manner.
• Assist with daily maintenance, orderliness, and cleanliness of the store.
• Help ensure that weekly price changes and label updates are completed timely and accurately.
• Assist with all cashiering functions including training and audits.
• Help ensure forklift operations and receiving are completed safely and efficiently.
• Assist with maintenance of back stock levels and cycle counts.
• Lead by example and assist in training of all associates.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous retail management experience preferred.
• Hardware experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 25lbs), and climb.

• Experience in hardware retail management.

Benefits

• Hourly compensation of $17 per hour.
