About The Position

We’re looking for a dependable and motivated Budtender Shift Lead to join the team at DACUT Cannabis Retail! This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, enjoys coaching and supporting others, and is committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience while helping drive daily operations. As a Budtender Shift Lead, you’ll serve as a key support leader on the sales floor — assisting with daily store operations, guiding Budtenders, ensuring compliance, and helping create a welcoming, efficient, and customer-focused environment. You’ll lead by example and help maintain the high standards that define the DACUT experience.

Requirements

  • Previous cannabis retail experience required; leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cannabis products, including flower, concentrates, edibles, vapes, and accessories.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment.
  • Comfortable handling cash transactions, POS systems, and operational procedures.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be 21+ and able to pass required background checks.
  • Reliable, professional, and team-oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Knowledge of cannabis products, compliance regulations, and responsible consumption practices.
  • Ability to coach and motivate team members while maintaining accountability.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities during busy shifts.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and composure under pressure.
  • Familiarity with retail inventory systems and operational processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support Budtenders during daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service and workflow efficiency.
  • Provide exceptional customer experiences through product knowledge, education, and personalized recommendations.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, drawer counts, and daily operational tasks.
  • Help monitor team performance, attendance, and productivity throughout each shift.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, state cannabis regulations, and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, visually appealing, and compliant sales floor.
  • Assist management with inventory tasks, restocking, audits, and product organization.
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members while fostering a positive team culture.
  • Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary.
  • Stay informed on product knowledge, promotions, inventory updates, and industry trends.
