About the position

The position of Brokerage Services Manager is responsible for the development and execution of a comprehensive business plan to drive growth of the brokerage division within the 'High & Heavy,' open-deck, breakbulk, and transportation service sectors for Keen. This role is based in our corporate office, located in Carlisle, PA. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute a business development plan, including market competitiveness, pricing and channel strategies
  • Develop an operations team that will build a multi-layered carrier partner network, providing safe, reliable capacity to our customers in multiple channels of service
  • Coordinate with Customer Care and Sales on account development, with direct efforts in cultivating additional business from new and existing customers
  • Grow revenue in regions typically not supported by asset fleet
  • Establish and maintain a working relationship with other departments and oversee the daily flow and coordination of information between departments and facilities
  • Build and refine tools and operational processes to deliver successful execution, driving top and bottom-line growth while meeting or exceeding customer service requirements and expectations
  • Establish dynamic carrier partner pricing for all services provided
  • Identify freight and capacity matches, as well as work on larger tender project deployments

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive responsibility in a transportation brokerage environment
  • 2 to 4 years in Brokerage leadership/sales experience in the logistics or transportation industry, with a demonstrated track record of developing external transportation capacity/relationships
  • At least three years managing the employee lifecycle including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions, development, terminations, and moves
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; B.S. in Logistics is ideal
  • Demonstrated proficiency utilizing transportation software: MercuryGate, TMW, or 'custom-equivalent' that manages functions, such as pricing, load tendering, operations, and billing; navigation/mapping software/applications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Ability to travel: 5-10% (U.S. Based)
