About the position
Astound Broadband is hiring for a Broadband Technician in Austin, Texas. The Broadband Technician I is responsible for residential installation and disconnections for data, video, and phone on the customer premises with a high level of focus on customer service, customer education, and quality of work. This role will be responsible for ensuring and recording correct RF signal levels. The BBT I is required to communicate with leadership and dispatch as needed. This position will be based in Astound's San Antonio, TX office.
Responsibilities
- Residential install and disconnects (data, video, phone) on customer premises
- Ensure/record correct RF and signal levels within specifications
- Communication with leadership and dispatch as needed
- Customer education
- Operate company vehicle in safe and responsible manner
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 0 (Entry Level)
- Competencies: Maintain satisfactory driving record and have a valid driver's license
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ladder; Hand or Power Tools; Customer Service; Communication (verbal, written); Basic Computer Skills; Aptitude to learn skills; Problem solving; Time Management; Teamwork; Working alone
