About the position
The Fred Smith Company is actively seeking candidates for positions within our Structures division located in Moore County, NC. We are currently hiring for two roles: Bridge Carpenter and Carpenter Helper. The Bridge Carpenter position requires a minimum of three years of experience in constructing and dismantling concrete forms specifically for bridges, culverts, and walls. This role is critical to our operations, as it involves working with heavy materials and ensuring the structural integrity of our projects. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong understanding of carpentry techniques and safety protocols, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. On the other hand, the Carpenter Helper position is open to individuals without prior carpentry experience, although outdoor work experience is highly preferred. This role is designed for those looking to start their career in carpentry and construction. As a Carpenter Helper, you will assist skilled carpenters in various tasks, including preparing materials, maintaining tools, and ensuring job sites are safe and organized.
