Outpatient Diagnostic Center of Alabama is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, compassionate individual who is a strong communicator to join an energetic, patient-focused team. This position supports the Women’s Imaging Department, with a primary focus on Mammography and Ultrasound coordination, patient follow-up, scheduling support, medical record management, and workflow efficiency. This role is designed to assist technologists, radiologists, schedulers, and leadership by ensuring timely coordination of patient care, accurate documentation, and strong communication between patients, referring offices, and internal teams. The Women’s Imaging Patient Coordinator / Breast Service Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the daily operations of the Women’s Imaging Department. This position works closely with mammography technologists, ultrasound technologists, radiologists, schedulers, provider offices, and leadership to ensure patients receive timely, accurate, and compassionate care. This position supports the coordination of breast imaging services, including screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, biopsy follow-up, BI-RADS follow-up workflows, prior imaging requests, order management, and patient scheduling. The role also assists with reducing administrative burden on technologists so they can remain focused on patient care, image quality, and clinical throughput. This position may support one or multiple imaging centers and may function onsite, hybrid, or remotely based on operational needs.
