About The Position

This role involves managing the daily operations of a credit union branch within a school setting. The Brand Influencer is responsible for handling various financial transactions, ensuring security procedures are followed, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations. The position also offers opportunities to gain experience in different career paths, including Finance & Account Management, Brand Marketing & Outreach, Public Relations & Social Media, and Leadership.

Requirements

  • Average minimum grade of 70 or 2.0 GPA
  • No disciplinary actions on school record resulting in out of school suspension
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, from simple to complex, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write clearly, effectively and professionally to communicate information to members, non-members, other employees and business partners.
  • Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Ability to calculate percentages.
  • Ability to perform calculations using United States currency and the American Standard units of measurements for weight, volume and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility for the ongoing operations of the credit union branches within the assigned school.
  • Receive deposits to savings and checking accounts, process withdrawals, receive and post loan payments, cash checks, and take check reorders with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Run checks throughout the day and batch checks. Perform end-of-day balancing and scan checks as they are received daily.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the function and operation of all security equipment, and know proper security procedures within the branch.
  • Ensure compliance with all governing regulations, specifically the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), OFAC and the Patriot Act requirements. Understand and comply with all state and federal regulations and laws.
  • Follow procedures for positively identifying authorized individuals prior to conducting transactions.
  • Act as vault teller, handling all monetary disbursement and deposits into branch totals. Assist in the control of traffic in and out of the vault.
  • Open and close vault each day and set alarms each night.
  • Present a neat and professional image by complying with the employee dress code.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping of individual area, as well as the entire teller area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Teacher Advisor and REV.
  • May assume responsibility for the execution of the Finance & Account Management career path, focusing on monetary disbursements & deposits into branch totals, assisting in the control of vault traffic, and opening and securing the vault during business hours.
  • May assume responsibility for the execution of the Brand Marketing & Outreach career path, with a primary focus on protecting and advancing the REV brand in all in-school marketing collateral, channels, and communications. Students in this path will lead campaign discussions and work with the REV Creative Team to execute campaign initiatives.
  • May assume responsibility for the Public Relations & Social Media career path, focusing on telling the REV story and promoting REV to potential members. Work with the REV Creative Team to develop/manage the school branch social media calendar to include the creation and posting of content.
  • May assume responsibility for the Leadership career path, with a primary focus on ensuring the effective execution and documentation of all school branch projects, activations and marketing messages.
  • Assume responsibilities for related duties as required or assigned.
