About the position

As a Branch Operations Leader (Head Teller) at Cadence Bank, you will be responsible for providing a differentiated customer experience while supervising various financial transactions. This role emphasizes leadership skills as you assist teammates with complex tasks, manage operational priorities, and deepen customer relationships by identifying needs and recommending solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily, weekly, and monthly operational reconciliation and serve as the main contact for internal audit adherence.
• Orchestrate transactional duties and cash balancing needs of the bank branch, including management of branch currency needs.
• Supervise tellers when applicable and provide training and mentorship for new tellers and personal bankers.
• Ensure cash handling and adherence to proper balancing procedures with a high degree of accuracy.
• Engage with customers about their financial needs and connect products and services with those needs.
• Educate customers on bank channels including online and mobile banking, interactive tellers, and full-service ATMs.
• Review and maintain knowledge of products, fees, policies, and current offers to assist customers with product suggestions.
• Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations and stay current on regulation changes.
• Create a positive impact within the communities served by investing time in Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) activities and financial literacy initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred.
• 1-year cash handling experience in a banking or retail environment preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
