About the position

The Branch Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the logistics department within a branch, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products. This role involves managing logistics personnel, promoting compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining vehicle safety. The supervisor also handles scheduling, route preparation, and problem-solving related to delivery operations, while ensuring effective communication with staff and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Logistics department for the branch to optimize timely and accurate delivery of products.
  • Promote staff compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including driver qualification files and hours of service.
  • Promote vehicle safety through daily inspections and routine maintenance.
  • Manage daily and on-call Delivery employee schedules.
  • Complete daily route preparation and assign additional routes as needed.
  • Occasionally perform Delivery responsibilities when necessary.
  • Work with Corporate Purchasing on ordering special equipment and new products.
  • Solve problems involving Delivery staff shortages and route changes.
  • Monitor and maintain close contact with Delivery staff to troubleshoot problems and facilitate timely route completion.
  • Manage the proper and efficient loading of trucks and assist with loading when necessary.
  • Assist with special orders and equipment as needed.
  • Maintain daily vehicle maintenance logs and incident reports.
  • Maintain proper stock levels in the warehouse to ensure maximum profitability.
  • Perform minor equipment repair and maintenance as required.
  • Respond to inquiries from patients, referral sources, vendors, and Delivery staff regarding equipment orders and delivery-related incidents.
  • Perform on-call duties as needed.
  • Manage multiple branch locations as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Successful completion of Company background check, including a safe driving record.
  • Experience with FDA/DOT/Commercial Drivers required.
  • Two years of related supervisory experience required.
  • Minimum of three years driving history required.
  • Valid CDL with Hazardous Materials endorsement required.
  • Satisfy DOT requirements for operating a commercial motor vehicle required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Home Healthcare industry experience preferred.
  • Inventory management experience preferred.
  • Previous interaction with the general public in service management industry preferred.
