About the position
The Disabled American Veterans, Department of Minnesota (DAV MN) is seeking a dedicated residential donation pickup service driver. This full-time position involves collecting and delivering donations of textiles and household items, which are essential for funding the organization's programs and services aimed at empowering Minnesota Veterans and their families. The role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and offers a competitive wage starting at $17 per hour, based on driving experience.
Responsibilities
- Collect and deliver donations of textiles and household items from donor homes and donation bins.
- Ensure timely and safe pickups while following written and oral directions.
- Provide face-to-face customer service with donors and potential donors.
- Represent DAV MN professionally and courteously in all interactions.
- Assist with additional duties in support of DAV MN operations as needed.
Requirements
- Clean driving record with professional driving experience.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs at or above waist level throughout the day.
- Capability to navigate stairs and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
