About the position

The Boutique Showroom Curator and Gallery Manager for "Monarch by Luly Yang" will oversee the curation, design, and management of a luxury lifestyle boutique and gallery. This role is pivotal in bringing the brand vision to life, focusing on product sourcing, merchandising strategy, sales optimization, and experiential event planning. The ideal candidate will blend creativity with business acumen to create an immersive and engaging environment that reflects the luxury aesthetic of the brand.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Luly Yang to interpret and implement the Monarch brand vision within the boutique and gallery space.
  • Source, evaluate, and curate a collection of luxury items, ensuring high standards and brand consistency.
  • Develop and oversee the merchandising and purchasing strategy to align with Monarch's luxury brand.
  • Create and implement a sales strategy to optimize boutique performance and enhance client engagement.
  • Design and maintain an inspiring showroom layout that showcases curated items effectively.
  • Plan and execute experiential events that elevate client experiences and capture the Monarch vision.
  • Establish relationships with artisans and vendors, managing contracts and product deliveries.
  • Develop and maintain the narrative connecting curated products with the brand story.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the boutique, including inventory and customer interactions.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote products and events.

Requirements

  • 8 to 20 years of experience in luxury retail, gallery management, or experiential marketing.
  • Strong background in fashion, art, and lifestyle categories, with styling experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to combine creative vision with business strategy.
  • Skilled in sourcing luxury products and working with artists and vendors.
  • Experience in developing merchandising plans and sales strategies.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Experience in coordinating high-end events.

  • Experience in directing internal design teams.
  • Ability to craft and communicate a compelling brand narrative.
