About the position

Atlantic Constructors is seeking dynamic, motivated, career-minded individuals to join our expanding team! The Boiler Service Technician will be responsible for the servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, cleaning, and maintenance of heating and cooling equipment and related systems for commercial and industrial customers. This position is crucial in ensuring the efficient operation of boilers and HVAC systems, contributing to the overall success of our services in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Responsibilities

• Service boilers and equipment for commercial / industrial customers
• Troubleshoot, test, repair, maintain or modify heating systems and equipment including high pressure steam, low pressure steam, and hot water systems
• Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement and modifications requested by customers
• Prepare on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating challenges, identifying materials, and coordinating on-site work
• Document, complete, and maintain paperwork on each job
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant experience cleaning and servicing boilers in a commercial / industrial environment; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience
• 4+ years of practical experience in general HVAC work
• Knowledge of basic electricity and electrical control systems
• Understanding of fuel oil, natural gas, and propane
• Ability to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills
• Ability to read, understand, and work from blueprints, specifications, and schematics
• Must be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen, and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e. DMV, criminal history)
• Must adhere to all company policy and procedures
• Must be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned

Nice-to-haves

• HS diploma or GED equivalent
• Knowledge of HVAC 20's equipment
• Journeyman's or Master license
• Prior military experience
