About the position

The General Manager at our Premier Collision Center is responsible for leading the operations of a growing collision repair business. This role focuses on driving success through effective management of daily operations, financial oversight, and team leadership, while ensuring exceptional service delivery to clients and maintaining strong relationships with DRP partners and fleet accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily shop operations, ensuring seamless production workflows and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Prepare and manage the annual and monthly operating budget of the collision center.
  • Monitor and maintain all accounts payable and receivable relating to the collision center.
  • Optimize key performance indicators, including profitability, cycle time, and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean and organized repair facility and monitor maintenance for shop equipment.
  • Develop and expand relationships with DRP partners to increase shop revenue.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Manage relationships with fleet accounts and retail customers, providing tailored repair solutions.
  • Ensure an exceptional customer experience from insurance coordination to post-repair satisfaction.
  • Advance understanding of repair processes to guide team operations effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, including I-CAR certifications and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years in collision repair management with expertise in DRP programs, fleet account management, and retail services.
  • I-CAR certification is required; ASE certifications are a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in estimating systems like CCC1 and understanding of collision repair processes.
  • Proven ability to build, lead, and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and a client-focused mindset.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills to manage competing priorities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with additional estimating systems beyond CCC1.
  • Familiarity with advanced collision repair technologies and techniques.
