About the position

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst conducts functional behavior assessments and oversees treatment planning within a person-centered system of service delivery that values improved life quality for clients receiving ABA services. The role ensures that a functional assessment of behavior is completed for each individual, based on their own goals for improvement. The analyst coordinates the work of the support team in developing and utilizing treatment plans that target long-term goals and short-term objectives based on the functional behavior assessment. They routinely evaluate treatment plan progress for all assigned clients and recommend modifications to promote client success in the attainment of replacement behavior skills. Additionally, the analyst mentors behavior specialists who are not yet certified as behavior analysts, as needed, and works under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, reporting to the Clinical Program Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments and oversee treatment planning.
  • Ensure a functional assessment of behavior is completed for each individual based on their goals.
  • Coordinate the work of the support team in developing treatment plans.
  • Evaluate treatment plan progress and recommend modifications.
  • Mentor behavior specialists who are not yet certified.
  • Promote a person-centered approach to treatment by working with families and respecting personal goals.
  • Conduct assessments in various settings, including home and community.
  • Utilize direct assessment tools to measure behavior, such as VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, and ADOS-II.
  • Create data sheets and supervise the collection of progress data.
  • Document and report on progress data monthly.
  • Schedule and lead monthly treatment plan review meetings.
  • Provide training to Behavior Specialist staff on treatment plan procedures and data collection techniques.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field.
  • Current board certification as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Valid driver's license.
