About the position

Heredia Therapy Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team. This is a full-time position that requires in-person work. Candidates seeking fully remote or part-time roles will not be considered. As a BCBA, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals and their families through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. You will be responsible for assessments, treatment planning, training, and supervision of behavior technicians and direct support professionals (DSPs). This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer, Clinical Director of Operations, and ABA Clinical Director.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and supervision of ABA programming, including training DSPs and other team members.
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments and analyses to develop and implement individualized behavior plans.
  • Utilize both discrete trial training (DTT) and natural environment teaching (NET) methodologies to support client progress.
  • Develop and oversee data collection systems to track progress and ensure the effectiveness of treatment plans.
  • Train and supervise paraprofessional staff in ABA principles and behavior reduction strategies to ensure quality implementation.
  • Provide ongoing consultation, support, and collaboration with families, caregivers, and other professionals.
  • Maintain timely documentation, including session notes within 24 hours via Rethink.
  • Stay current with research and best practices in ABA through continuing education (32 CEUs every two years).
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain proper communication with relevant agencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Requirements

  • Active BCBA certification.
  • Proven experience in ABA therapy, including conducting assessments and developing treatment plans.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills with experience overseeing behavior technicians and DSPs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with families and professionals.
  • Ability to analyze data and adjust programming based on client progress.
  • Master’s degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related human services field.
  • Completion of an internship and/or formal training in behavior analysis, instructional strategies, and working with individuals with pervasive developmental disorders and related conditions.
  • Demonstrated competency in behavior management, instructional techniques, written and verbal communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with a diverse range of clients across different age groups and functional levels, with the ability to work independently.
  • BCBA certification for a minimum of two years (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Discrete Trial Training (DTT) programming and implementation.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to efficiently use office equipment such as fax machines, phone systems, and other necessary tools.
  • Responsiveness to phone calls, text messages, and emails in a timely manner.
  • Flexible availability, including Monday through Friday from at least 3 PM to 8 PM.
  • Up-to-date on all required trainings and certifications (as per company guidelines).
  • Valid driver’s insurance on file with the HR department.
  • Reliable, insured transportation within the state of California.
