About The Position

We are an agency committed to quality gender-responsive, trauma-informed care to individual experiencing serious mental illness, developmental disabilities, and co-occurring disorders. Metrocare programs focus on the issues that matter most in the lives of children, families, and adults we serve. The Center for Children with Autism at Metrocare (CCAM) serves children ages 2 - 12 years with autism spectrum disorder or related disorders utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). These services are clinic-based services. The Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) is an undergraduate-level professional certified in behavior analysis who delivers behavior-analytic services under the clinical supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The BCaBA will utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques based on scientific literature to develop programming and monitor individual served cases. The BCaBA will maintain, update, analyze, and ensure the correct implementation of ABA techniques with children with autism spectrum disorder or other Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. The BCaBA will be responsible for behavior assessments, skills assessments, parent training, program development, behavioral intervention, and training of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Completed Behavior Analytic Coursework and Supervisor Experience resulting in Certification.
  • 1 year experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
  • Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst certification from the BACB.
  • Intermediate math skills required. Ability to work with reports and numbers.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. Ability to deal with situations with variables.
  • Use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience in Metrocare computer software (MyAvatar Netsmart)
  • Ability to utilize Internet for resources.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct skills assessments utilizing a variety of assessments such as the Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills (ABLLS), the Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB_MAPP), the Developmental Profile-3, or the Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales 2nd edition or the Aberrant Behavior Checklist.
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments via direct and indirect assessment methods.
  • Develop clear behavioral acquisition, intervention, and reduction plans.
  • Ensure that behavioral data is kept current and use sound clinical judgment in data analysis.
  • Monitor client progress to ensure effective treatment and modify behavioral intervention as needed under the supervision of the BCBA.
  • Train, Assess, and Mentor Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) in compliance with Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) standards.
  • Provide direct service implementation to individuals with Autism.
  • Provide parent and caregiver training to individual families enrolled in the program.
