About the position
The Blends Barista is responsible for providing courteous and knowledgeable service in the Blends Coffee & Wine Bar, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction. This role involves maintaining cleanliness in the work and dining areas, restocking supplies, and accurately processing guest orders and payments.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all rules, policies, and regulations as stated in the Pechanga Employee Handbook while striving to improve standards of operation.
- Work as a team player and assist coworkers in achieving outlet goals, capable of being cross-trained.
- Display knowledge of food and beverage available in Blends Coffee & Wine Bar.
- Take guest orders, place them in Micros (POS), and collect payment.
- Display accurate knowledge of food and beverage pricing.
- Follow proper cash handling procedures, maintain the cash drawer, and follow appropriate closing cash policies.
- Assist guests in a friendly, professional manner and meet their needs.
- Re-stock condiments and supplies as needed.
- Set and clear tables and chairs according to outlet standards.
- Sweep and mop floors and empty trash as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least two years of fast food experience required.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and perform multiplication and division with 10's and 100's using American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
