About the position

The Birmingham Watercolor Group is seeking a part-time Watercolor Instructor to lead social watercolor painting classes for beginners and keen amateurs. The role involves teaching in a fun and relaxed environment, focusing on helping students develop their watercolor skills while enjoying the creative process. Classes are held every other weekend at various outdoor locations in Birmingham, with each session lasting two hours.

Responsibilities

• Teach watercolor painting skills to groups of 6-12 students.
• Conduct classes every other weekend, either Saturday or Sunday.
• Create a fun and social atmosphere for students to learn and enjoy watercolor painting.
• Market the classes by providing samples of your artwork for social media posts.

Requirements

• Proven advanced watercolor painting skills, supported by qualifications and a portfolio of work.
• Experience in teaching or group leadership is highly desired.
• Reliability and punctuality, with a commitment to regular work for at least six months.
