About the position
The BIM Coordinator at Thompson Turner Construction plays a crucial role in the successful implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes within construction projects. This entry-level position is designed for recent graduates with a degree in Construction Management or a related field, offering an opportunity to develop skills and advance in the construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate and implement BIM processes.
- Assist in developing and maintaining BIM project execution plans based on industry best practices.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure BIM standards are met.
- Create and manage accurate 3D models using industry-standard BIM software (e.g., Autodesk Revit).
- Ensure consistency and completeness of BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with design and construction teams to incorporate design changes into the BIM models.
- Conduct clash detection analysis to identify and resolve conflicts within BIM models.
- Collaborate with project teams to address and resolve issues promptly.
- Generate comprehensive reports and documentation related to clash detection and issue resolution.
- Provide training and support to project team members on BIM tools and processes.
- Contribute to the development of educational materials for internal training programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of BIM concepts and processes.
- Familiarity with BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, or equivalent tools.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
