About the position

The Billing Analyst position at a reputable law firm focuses on managing the billing process for client accounts, ensuring compliance with client terms, and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities

• Process and prepare monthly invoices for client accounts
• Review and verify all billing transactions to ensure compliance with client terms
• Manage accounts receivable, including timely processing and reconciling
• Identify and collect past-due balances
• Resolve billing/payment discrepancies by liaising with clients and internal teams
• Collaborate with attorneys and office supervisors to maintain adherence to client billing guidelines
• Submit and monitor invoices through manual and electronic billing systems, including eBilling platforms
• Provide excellent customer service for client inquiries related to billing issues
• Ensure all tasks are completed within set deadlines
• Assist in training team members as needed
• Perform other billing-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• 5 + years of billing/collections experience at a law firm
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interaction with attorneys and clients
• Proficiency in Excel at an intermediate level
• Experience in data entry and working with computerized systems
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience in billing/collections, with a focus on e-billing software such as Tymetrix, Legal X, Collaborati, or similar
• Bachelor's degree in business (preferred) or equivalent work experience
