About the position

The position involves maintaining a professional image and exhibiting excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. The role requires leading the revenue cycle team and overseeing the collection of patient encounters from claim submission through to collections, while managing accounts receivable to maximize revenue collected. Responsibilities include directing staff to ensure accurate submission of all claims and timely collections in accordance with third-party contract terms, including Medicaid, Medicare, managed care, commercial insurance, and direct patient pay. The position also entails reviewing, reworking, and resubmitting unprocessed claims and denials to ensure revenue maximization, as well as monitoring open accounts receivable balances to assure maximization of cash collections. Additionally, the role involves training new employees, providing continuing education to Patient Account Representatives, mentoring employees, conducting performance evaluations, and preparing detailed analyses and reports of billing and accounts receivable activity. The position requires conducting quarterly AR meetings for assigned practices and working closely with practice personnel and management staff to monitor compliance with policies and procedures relating to the Revenue Cycle. The work schedule is 80 hours bi-weekly.

  • Prepare detailed analyses and reports of billing and accounts receivable activity and results.
  • Conduct quarterly AR meetings for assigned practices to review overall financials.
  • Work closely with practice personnel and management staff to monitor compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Review and complete attendance and payroll processes for assigned personnel.
  • Complete special assignments as requested by department Director and/or AVP.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of healthcare billing and accounts receivable management experience preferred.
  • Experience with healthcare practice management software system needed.
  • Strong computer background in Microsoft Excel/Office.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
