About The Position

We are looking for a Bilingual Health Educator (HE) who is fluent in both English and Spanish. As a Health Educator, you will be responsible for answering incoming calls on the educational support line, which operates during evenings and weekends with varied shifts. Key transferable skills for this role include problem-solving, professionalism, compassion, communication, organization, attention to detail, and resourcefulness. Snow Companies' business is centered around the patient journey, and the Health Educator must be open, compassionate, and sensitive to the unique life experiences of patients and caregivers. The Health Educator must be able to incorporate the unique patient/caregiver experience into the strategies and solutions provided to clients. This position reports directly to the Team Lead. The core of our business involves working with patients, and it is likely you will encounter personally identifiable information (PII) and personal health information (PHI) of patients living with chronic illness. The Health Educator will be required to successfully complete and adhere to training courses covering Snow Policies and Procedures, HIPAA requirements (Privacy Rule, Security Rule, Sunshine Act reporting), Adverse Event (AE) Reporting, FDA and FTC promotional requirements for pharmaceuticals, and other applicable federal or state regulations, as well as Privacy and Data Security.

  • Experience and demonstrated understanding of call center operation and troubleshooting

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency in a foreign language is a plus but not required.
  • Medical background preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully listen to callers on the educational support line
  • Closely follow written scripts, FAQs, and resource documents
  • Understand patient privacy laws (HIPAA)

  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities consistent with those listed above based upon business needs.
