Responsibilities
- Read computer generated stickers to determine items to be selected and where to locate the items.
- Conveys items from warehouse slot to pallet to fill customer orders.
- Places materials or items on pallets to insure best order for ease of delivery and safety of product.
- Sorts and stacks perishable goods in refrigerated, freezer or dry pallets, depending on type of product being selected.
- Marks materials with identifying information, by attaching sticker to product.
- Operates hand pallet jack to transport palletized items from warehouse storage area to loading dock.
- Shrinks wrap pallets correctly.
- Completes initial training in accident reporting, safety and HACCP.
- Trains warehouse and drivers in the safe operation of powered industrial trucks (forklifts / pallet jacks).
- Incumbents will follow any other instructions, and perform any other related duties, as may be required by their supervisor.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish
- 3 - 5 Years
- Five years related experience in warehousing and powered industrial trucks.
Nice-to-haves
- OSHA certified trainer for powered industrial trucks
