About The Position

The Benefits Analyst II is responsible for supporting the analysis, administration, evaluation, and implementation of Dawn’s benefit programs. This role resolves moderately complex benefits issues, supports open enrollment and vendor management activities, and helps ensure benefits processes and communications are compliant with applicable federal, state, and local laws. The Benefits Analyst collaborates with the internal Benefits team, Team Members, the People Support Team, Partners, and external vendors or consultants to provide outstanding customer service, ensure data accuracy, and drive ongoing improvements.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive benefits (or related) experience in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Working knowledge of employee benefits administration and applicable compliance considerations (e.g., eligibility, enrollment, qualifying events, confidentiality).
  • Experience partnering with benefit carriers/vendors and resolving escalated Team Member issues (claims, coverage, eligibility).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills; ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly to Team Members and People Partners.
  • Experience with HRIS/benefits administration systems and data validation; ability to support testing and process improvements.

Nice To Haves

  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a second-level resource for Team Member benefit inquiries; partners with carriers, providers, and vendors to investigate and resolve claims, eligibility, and coverage issues.
  • Processes and supports life events, enrollment changes, and related system updates to ensure accurate benefits administration.
  • Reviews escalations and appeals and makes recommendations to the plan administrator, as applicable.
  • Supports Benefits Open Enrollment activities, including testing support (as applicable), communications, and Team Member/People Partner assistance.
  • Compiles and analyzes benefit selections and related costs to support annual renewal activities and vendor/carrier negotiations.
  • Maintains documentation, templates, and standard communications; ensures timely follow-up and clear resolution messaging.
  • Provides Level II system support related to benefits administration, including issue triage, data validation, and process improvements.
  • Partners cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, Finance, and Shared Services to resolve benefits impacts, ensure data integrity, and align downstream processes.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality related to all Team Member and company information.
  • Other duties as assigned.
