About the position

Setton International Foods, Inc. is seeking a motivated Human Resource Benefits Manager who will also handle family office administrative tasks. This role involves managing employee benefits programs and providing administrative support for family members, ensuring a high level of service and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain a wide range of employee benefits plans including health, vision, dental, retirement, and life insurance.
  • Oversee the annual renewal process of all benefit programs and coordinate communication materials for employee information sessions.
  • Process benefits-related enrollments, changes, and terminations in coordination with insurance brokers.
  • Serve as the primary contact for third parties such as benefit brokers and plan vendors.
  • Monitor government regulations and market trends to ensure programs are legal and competitive.
  • Perform annual reviews of benefit programs against third-party packages to ensure competitive rates.
  • Communicate effectively with employees and management to understand their requirements and provide guidance.
  • Handle employee comments and concerns regarding benefit programs and insurance plans.
  • Conduct new hire orientations and onboarding meetings, including benefits orientation.
  • Manage annual employee trainings including sexual harassment in the workplace.
  • Perform other Benefits/HR related duties and projects as assigned.
  • Review, process, and pay personal bills for family members.
  • Monthly review of credit card statements for accuracy prior to payment.
  • File medical claims and reimbursements for family members.
  • Schedule medical appointments for family members and dependents.
  • Coordinate and manage travel arrangements for family members.
  • Assist with purchasing household or personal needs for family members.
  • Deposit checks into personal bank accounts as needed.
  • Perform general administrative support and event planning.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor of Science/Arts degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related working experience in Benefits Administration.
  • Completion of SHRM-CP or CEBS certification is a plus.
  • Understanding of employee group benefits including COBRA.
  • High level of confidentiality and strong communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to take direction from multiple sources with demonstrated follow-through.
  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office suite products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Completion of Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) certification.
