About the position

The Benefits Administrator at Satterfield and Pontikes Construction, Inc. is responsible for managing the day-to-day Human Resources functions related to employee benefits. This role includes administering health and welfare benefits, managing leaves of absence, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. The position requires a proactive approach to support HR programs and provide excellent customer service to employees and benefit vendors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Serve as the primary contact for benefit plan vendors and third-party administrators.
• Oversee health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
• Implement and support new hire orientation, onboarding, and employee recognition.
• Conduct audits of payroll, benefits, or other HR programs and recommend corrective actions.
• Support data entry for employees including new hires and position changes.
• Manage and execute annual Benefits Open Enrollment in partnership with HR.
• Coordinate daily benefits processing, including enrollments, COBRA, and terminations.
• Provide customer service support to internal and external customers.
• Design and distribute materials for benefits orientations and open enrollment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
• 2+ years of HR/Benefits experience.
• Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
