About the position

The Bellperson/Shuttle Driver is responsible for providing exceptional service to hotel guests by assisting with luggage, performing airport pick-ups and drop-offs, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere at the hotel. This role requires effective communication skills and a professional demeanor to enhance the guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with luggage and show them to their rooms after airport transfers.
• Explain hotel facilities, their locations, and hours of operation to guests.
• Check luggage for hotel guests for both day and overnight stays.
• Maintain the designated station in the lobby and be readily available for guest assistance.
• Open doors and greet guests in a friendly manner.
• Keep the bellstand, lobby, and baggage room clean and organized.
• Post daily events and entertainment boards in the lobby.
• Maintain communication through intershift logs.
• Deliver messages and valet services to guest rooms.
• Perform timely airport pick-ups and drop-offs for guests and inspect vehicles.
• May perform valet duties as required.
• Assist front desk with key inventory twice weekly.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have a valid NY Driver's License with a good driving record.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Self-starting personality with a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to work as a team player and assist co-workers as needed.
• Knowledge of hotel services and local area events and activities.
• Ability to drive vans, limousines, and automobiles safely.
• Excellent driving record as verified by a Motor Vehicle Report.
• Ability to handle luggage and packages weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform essential job functions continuously.
