About The Position
Arlington County's Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking a Behavioral Health Therapist (Licensed) for a dedicated restoration unit. This role serves individuals found incompetent to stand trial (IST) within a local jail setting, aiming to restore their competency. The goal is to reduce reliance on state hospital admissions and improve case processing timelines. The therapist will work with detainees to achieve competency through psychoeducation, symptom management, coordination with medical staff for psychotropic medications, and education about the legal system and process.

Responsibilities
