About The Position

Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) are responsible for providing day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams. This includes assisting with admissions, transportation, meals, medication administration, and client supervision. BHTs play a crucial role in engaging and building rapport with clients, creating a warm and accepting recovery environment, and ensuring the safety of both clients and staff by monitoring clients and enforcing facility policies. They are also responsible for fulfilling administrative duties such as shift documentation, inventory management, attending meetings, and providing general office support. Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehab centers dedicated to providing evidence-based clinical programs and individualized care. The facility in Prince Frederick is a 93-bed residential center offering detox and inpatient rehabilitation services, designed to provide a five-star experience for clients beginning their recovery journey.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED preferred
Valid Driver's license and CPR certification preferred
If in recovery, a minimum one - year period of sustained sobriety required
Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills
Warm, compassionate and empathetic personality
Dignified character that models recovery principles

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams (admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, phones etc.)
Engage and build rapport with clients, creating a warm, accepting recovery environment
Monitor clients and enforce all Avenues policies to ensure safety of both clients and staff
Record and escalate any critical communication/ incidents in a timely manner
Fulfill all administrative duties (shift documentation, inventory, meetings, office support etc.)
