About the position

The Behavioral Health Technician Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Behavioral Health Technician staff, ensuring they perform their duties in accordance with company standards. This role involves providing support, training, and guidance to the team, as well as maintaining client confidentiality and monitoring client behaviors. The supervisor will work closely with the Facility Manager to ensure effective scheduling and compliance with treatment team directives.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize independent judgement, strong initiative and decision-making skills to support BHT staff.
  • Assist the Facility Manager in coaching BHT staff with daily tasks and proper direction.
  • Ensure BHT staff are performing up to company standards.
  • Oversee the day-to-day job duties of the Behavioral Health Technicians.
  • Provide training to Behavioral Health Technicians as needed.
  • Assist with scheduling BHT staff to ensure all shifts are covered.
  • Enforce specific directions given by the treatment team regarding clients.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality on behalf of the clients.
  • Monitor client behaviors and report occurrences that deviate from normal behaviors.
  • Continuously track all clients' locations on property and during outings.
  • Ensure clients maintain their living areas to acceptable standards.
  • Assist in ensuring clients are present in all scheduled groups and activities.
  • Safely transport clients via company van to appointed destinations.
  • Perform bed checks as per standard schedule and record any unusual occurrences.
  • Complete any other duties as instructed by management.
  • Acquire and maintain all required CEU, CPR, and other trainings.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification
  • Prefer behavioral health experience or general healthcare experience
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to problem solve by gathering and analyzing information
  • Ability to handle crisis situations and react appropriately
  • Hold an active Addiction Counseling credential from either GACA or ADACBGA
