About the position

The Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor at Choptank Community Health System is responsible for providing direct clinical supervision to provisionally licensed clinical staff and clinical interns, while also offering quarterly supervision to fully licensed staff. This role involves ensuring quality clinical documentation, overseeing training and case consultation, and developing clinical skills within a multidisciplinary team. The position is exempt and full-time, reporting directly to the Behavioral Health Director.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct clinical supervision to provisionally licensed clinical staff and clinical interns.
  • Conduct quarterly supervision for fully licensed staff.
  • Ensure quality clinical documentation by reviewing and signing off on patient documentation.
  • Oversee training, case consultation, and development of clinical skills.
  • Collaborate with the Behavioral Health Director on program growth, policy, and procedures.
  • Provide clinical coverage for behavioral health patients when necessary.
  • Review client assessments and treatment plans, maintaining accurate clinical records.
  • Conduct chart reviews and ensure compliance with licensure requirements.
  • Assist clinical supervisees with complex clinical cases.
  • Monitor utilization of services and success of outcome measures.

Requirements

  • MD Licensed Clinician (LCSW-C)
  • MD LCSW-C Supervisors license
  • MD LCPC Supervisors License
  • Master's degree from an accredited University
  • Certified in trauma treatment
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience providing clinical supervision for LCSW-C and LCPC clinicians and provisional licensed clinicians
  • Valid CPR Certification
  • Proficient knowledge of MD Comar regulations and Mental Health and Substance use policies and procedures.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with a wide variety of people including members of ethnic and sexual minority populations
  • Knowledge and experience with evidence-based practices, including trauma-informed care framework.
  • Strong clerical/administrative skills including personal computer skills (Microsoft Office software).
