About the position

The Behavior Therapist - Intensive position at RCS Learning Center is designed for individuals with a background in psychology, mental health, developmental disabilities, early intervention, or child development. This role offers a unique opportunity to expand your knowledge and experience within human services and the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). The position is both challenging and rewarding, focusing on providing support to students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, aged between 6 to 22 years. The schedule for this role is Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM at our Learning Center located in Natick, MA. As a Behavior Therapist, you will work closely with students who have intensive behavioral needs. The role requires staff to be trained in and willing to use restraint and hold techniques, as learned through the SOLVE program. Experience in de-escalating severe behaviors that may require multiple staff members to support the student is highly preferred. Candidates should be highly organized, committed to quality, and eager to learn how to make a significant difference in a child's life. The students in our intensive program exhibit various challenging behaviors, including self-injurious behaviors, aggression, bolting, and inappropriate social behaviors. The focus areas for teaching these students include communication, social skills, activities of daily living (such as personal hygiene and toileting), vocational skills, adaptive physical education, and self-preservation.
