About the position

As a Behavior Technician at Autism Spectrum Therapies (AST), you will play a crucial role in helping children with autism develop essential skills through applied behavior analysis (ABA). This entry-level position is in high demand, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of children and their families. You will work directly with children aged 3 to 18, providing therapy in their homes or at AST centers, and will receive training to support your career in behavior analysis and related fields.

Responsibilities

• Support children with autism in learning and developing communication, socialization, and self-help skills through play-based therapy.
• Create lasting, positive changes for children and their families.
• Engage in physical activities as required by specific client assignments, including lifting up to 35 pounds and moving quickly according to client needs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old on or before the first day of employment.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Availability to work a consistent weekly schedule, including mornings, afternoons, and/or evenings.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual, with English/Spanish fluency.
• Studied, majored, or minored in psychology, education, special education, childcare, behavioral health, health science, or a related field.
• Experience working with children in roles such as babysitter, nanny, tutor, teacher, coach, or camp counselor.
