About the position
The position requires working with students who have moderate to severe disabilities in a classroom setting. The role involves providing support and assistance to these students to facilitate their learning and development. The candidate will be expected to travel to various locations within Tulare County using their own vehicle. Additionally, the candidate must be willing to use their language skills, if applicable, in the performance of their job duties.
Requirements
- Two years of experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities in a classroom setting.
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent; Associate degree OR 48 semester units from an accredited college/university OR Instructional Aide Exam OR CBEST with a passing score.
- Must possess or obtain First Aid and CPR certificates within 45 days of employment.
- Use own vehicle to travel to various locations within Tulare County.
- Skills to speak, read and write another language and willingness to use this skill in the performance of the job may be required for some assignments.
