About the position

The Behavior Analyst position at Active Steps is a full-time role focused on providing behavioral health services, particularly for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This hybrid position allows for flexibility in work settings, including in-home, clinic, and telehealth options. The role emphasizes a hands-off approach and positive programming, aiming to develop and implement tailored treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each child.

Responsibilities

• Conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and verbal behavior assessments.
• Designing and overseeing the implementation of individualized language, play, and skill-based curricula.
• Collaborating with clinical teams to provide cohesive and effective interventions.
• Supervising and mentoring BCBA candidates, enhancing the quality and reach of our services.

Requirements

• Master's/Doctorate degree in Psychology or related field, with BCBA certification.
• Training and certification under the Behavior Analysis Certification Program (BACB) for Applied Behavior Analysis as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
• Deep understanding of ABA principles, ethical standards, and the developmental challenges faced by individuals with disabilities.
• Proven experience in 1:1 educational settings and the ability to manage data-driven programs.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor future BCBAs and work collaboratively with families and teams.
• Experience providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.
• Experience with children and children psychology.
• Organized and efficient, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
• Excellent interpersonal and social skills, able to connect easily with others.
