About the position
The Boys Head Coach at Everett Public Schools is responsible for leading and managing the basketball program at North Middle School. This full-time position involves coaching student-athletes, developing their skills, and fostering a positive team environment. The Head Coach will also be involved in planning practices, strategizing for games, and ensuring compliance with school and district policies.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the boys basketball program at North Middle School.
- Develop and implement practice plans to enhance player skills.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team environment.
- Strategize for games and ensure team preparedness.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration.
Requirements
- Experience in coaching basketball at a middle school or higher level.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
- Knowledge of basketball rules and regulations.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience as a head coach or assistant coach.
- Certification in first aid and CPR.
- Experience in developing youth sports programs.
