About the position

The Baseball Graduate Assistant position at North Central College involves supporting the development and organization of intercollegiate student-athletes. This role provides hands-on learning opportunities in leadership, communication, and evaluation of student-athlete progress, while also assisting in fundraising, budget oversight, and on-field coaching activities.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in on-field coaching of players for both varsity and junior varsity games.
• Planning and implementing practice sessions.
• Throwing batting practice and recruiting players.
• Maintaining the field and supervising activities.
• Managing scheduling and travel for the team.
• Assisting in the academic progress and retention of student-athletes.
• Engaging in fundraising activities.
• Assisting with camps, clinics, and alumni functions.

Requirements

• Admission into a graduate degree program at North Central College is required.
• A valid driver's license is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of NCAA, CCIW, and NCC rules and regulations.
