About the position

The position involves providing exceptional customer service in the bar area of Shrimp Basket by mixing, garnishing, and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company specifications. The role requires maintaining knowledge of the menu, taking orders, preparing drinks, and ensuring a clean and stocked bar environment while interacting positively with customers and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain complete knowledge of Shrimp Basket food and beverage preparation, menu and specials.
  • Take orders for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food items.
  • Prepare orders for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Use a computer to ring orders into a POS system.
  • Refill drinks as requested by customers.
  • Accept different types of payment and make change.
  • Interact with customers, management, and co-workers in a friendly and fast manner.
  • Pass Responsible Vendor; Service of Alcohol test with a score of 90% or better (Alabama stores only).
  • Check identification of guests to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages.
  • Refuse to serve beverages to guests who are not of legal age and notify the manager.
  • Observe guests' behavior and assist if overindulgence occurs (e.g., offer a taxi).
  • Treat customers with respect and strive to exceed their expectations.
  • Help customers be aware of and choose menu items, suggestively sell food and beverage items, and take orders.
  • Keep the bar stocked and clean while providing friendly and attentive service.
  • Maintain a clean work station.
  • Report to work in a neat and clean uniform with well-groomed hair and personal hygiene.
  • Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as directed by management.
  • Report to required meetings.
