About the position

The Bartender at Barrel House is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of drinks. This role requires extensive knowledge of mixology, the ability to engage with customers, and adherence to legal regulations regarding alcohol service. The Bartender plays a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cocktails and pour beers according to customer specifications.
• Engage with customers at the bar, providing conversation and entertainment.
• Ensure customers are of legal drinking age before serving alcohol.
• Maintain inventory and process payments accurately.
• Enforce company policies regarding alcohol consumption.
• Evaluate customer satisfaction and respond to feedback.

Requirements

• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations regarding alcohol service.
• Extensive knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails.
• Understanding of unique and complementary flavor pairings.
• Impeccable customer service skills and social perceptiveness.
• Ability to evaluate customer satisfaction and responsiveness.
• Accountability in maintaining inventory and processing payments.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift 50+ pounds.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience operating a Point Of Sale (POS) system, including Kitchen Display System (KDS).
• Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods.
• Reliability in commuting to the on-site location.
