About The Position

The Big Easy Casino is seeking a Bartender/Cocktail Server to join their team in Hallandale Beach, FL. This role involves preparing and serving beverages to guests, maintaining the bar area's cleanliness and appearance, processing payments, and managing inventory. The Cocktail Server aspect of the role includes taking and serving beverage orders, describing menu items, controlling guest checks, and providing excellent customer service. Both roles require strong knowledge of beverages, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

High School Diploma.
3+ years of previous experience working as a Bartender.
2+ years of previous experience working as a Cocktail Server.
Must be able to obtain the appropriate state occupational license.
Strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages.
Strong knowledge of beverages both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
Excellent communication skills.
Enthusiastic and energetic.
Must be able to stand for 8 hours.
Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to lift trays of beverage items weighing up to 30 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.

Responsibilities

Responsible for overall cleanliness and appearance of the bar area.
Prepares beverages for servers and serves beverages to guests in a quick, efficient, friendly and professional manner.
Multi-tasks several orders at once.
Ensures that guests are served in accordance with State and local guidelines regarding the service of alcohol.
Processes payments.
Maintains inventory of the bar.
Answers general customer inquiries as needed.
Takes orders and serves beverage items to guests in a timely, friendly, enthusiastic and professional manner using suggestive selling techniques.
Describes all beverage items, prices and methods of preparation.
Controls guest checks to secure proper payment.
