About The Position

The National Wound Physician Group is seeking a Bariatric Surgeon for a position in College Station, TX. This role offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities. Physicians will become experts in wound management, learning from highly qualified wound-certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors, and utilizing cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities. Our physicians provide bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states. We provide physician-level wound management training and a wound fellowship. W2 physicians earn, on average, $300,000 per year plus benefits for a 30-hour work week, with part-time opportunities available. Paid training is provided.

Requirements

  • Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice
  • Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.
  • Full, active, and unrestricted license in the state you wish to practice
  • Minimum commitment of 3 days a week within our working days of Monday through Friday

Responsibilities

  • Provide bedside wound care in post-acute care settings such as Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals.
  • Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
  • Visit 2-3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20-30 patients per day.
  • Perform clinical documentation at the point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.
  • Participate in a 6-month wound care fellowship.
