About the position
We are seeking an observant and efficient barback to support our bartenders and ensure seamless service for our customers. The role involves maintaining cleanliness, stocking supplies, and assisting in various bar operations to create an excellent customer experience in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in cleaning the bar and maintaining cleanliness of counters, glassware, and utensils.
- Prepare garnishes and ensure the bar is well stocked with necessary items such as napkins, straws, and glassware.
- Document inventory use, spills, and waste accordingly.
- Stock refrigerating units with wines, beer, and other beverages.
- Change empty beer kegs and monitor coolers for proper temperature.
- Maintain an adequate supply of ice and empty trash cans regularly.
- Notify management of low inventory and recommend new stock.
- Assist bartenders with cleaning and breakdown of the bar at the end of shifts.
- Complete all opening, running, and closing duties as assigned.
- Assist in training new employees within the department.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
- Ability to work at a fast pace and complete routine duties efficiently.
- Ability to understand oral and written instructions, including product use labels.
- Ability to accurately complete monetary transactions.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
