About the position

The Houseperson/Set-up position at El Chorro Lodge is a full-time role focused on creating memorable experiences for guests by ensuring that all meeting rooms, food functions, and events are set up and serviced to high standards. This position requires physical labor and a commitment to maintaining the quality and appearance of the venue.

Responsibilities

• Physically set-up and break down function spaces
• Maintain and refresh function rooms
• Assist with meeting space equipment and maintenance repairs as needed
• Assure outdoor function space is maintained
• Assist in banquet/food and beverage as needed
• Perform other supportive functions as determined by the supervisor/manager.

Requirements

• High School Diploma preferred
• Prior hospitality experience preferred
• Ability to lift 100+ pounds for extended periods of time
• Ability to push and pull up to 500 pounds
• Effective communication skills in English (preferred)
• Exhibit a professional appearance appropriate for a four diamond resort.
