About the position

The Banking Center Manager at Hickory Point Bank & Trust is responsible for leading and managing the banking center team to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales goals. This role involves coaching team members, ensuring compliance with bank regulations, and fostering community engagement. The manager will oversee operational functions, provide training, and maintain a focus on profitability while addressing customer and team member concerns professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, guidance, motivation, and coaching to team members.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and identify loan and deposit products that meet customer needs.
  • Guide the team to identify and refer potential clients to various bank departments.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and staff, both in person and over the phone.
  • Manage operational functions and ensure compliance with bank regulations and policies.
  • Coach team members on individual sales goals and customer service expectations.
  • Provide training on loan and deposit products and bank services.
  • Meet or exceed monthly branch and individual sales goals.
  • Interview potential loan applicants and manage the loan application process.
  • Handle customer and team member concerns in a professional manner.
  • Function as a Customer Service Associate and Relationship Banker as needed.
  • Responsible for hiring, developing, and retaining team members.
  • Address the physical security of team members and clients.
  • Conduct monthly banking center meetings with all team members.
  • Assist the compliance officer with audits and regulatory examinations.
  • Participate in community engagement initiatives and financial literacy workshops.
  • Oversee the branch's operational budget and resource allocation.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or closely related experience is required.
  • Prior management experience is necessary.
  • Experience in banking and sales is required.
  • Familiarity with bank regulatory compliance is essential.
  • Excellent customer service skills are a must.
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures effectively.
  • Intermediate to expert level computer skills are needed.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proven sales skills and a desire to meet sales goals as a team.
  • Leadership and supervisory skills are required.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are necessary.
